The knowledge based refutation on the deceptions of Yahya Silmy
A questioner asked Sheikh Abdul Hameed al-Hajoorie may Allah preserve him:
الحمد لله رب العالمين, حمدًا كثيرًا طيبًا مباركًا فيه, كما يحب ربنا ويرضاه, وأشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له وأشهد أن محمدًا عبده ورسوله صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم تسليمًا كثيرًا.
On this day the tenth of Dhul Qa'dah in the year 1432H at the Asr of the Day of Jumu'ah we get together with our Noble sheikh Abdul Hameed al-Hajoorie, may Allah preserve him and make him upright. He is the sheikh who visited us in Sri Lanka last year from whom the Salafi brothers benefited and their hearts were delighted by his arrival and his lessons. So we ask Allah subhanahu wata'ala to bless him in his knowledge and his efforts.
And we would like to present to him this statement published by Yahya Silmy Ibn Muhammad Nubar as-Saylani which was spread by e-mail, in which he said:

It is important that we all hold the rope of Allah firmly and not divide, the basic way of being united as to the ayah of the Quraan.
As well we should be always cooperative for the Al-Birr and Taqwa.. and never cooperate for the sin and the enemity..
As to the behaviour of Shiekh Yahya bin Ali Al-Hajoori is truely a division and enemity between the people of Salaf. It has been proved from all the places where they had gone a corruption of division was formed between the people of Salaf with no grounds of evidence...
The attachment gives us a clear insight of the fact of this...
What ever the Ulemah of Sunnah has taken steps in advising the Ummah we have to stand with them realizing the true cooperation which is the duty of each one of us...
So in the land of Sri Lanka once we had been much praising Shiekh Yahya Al-Hajoor as it was done by the Ulemah of Sunnah, but when we have realized the fitna which is being caused by this dammaj education we now warn all those who are interested to step ahead for dammaj for knowledge or cooperation with them, taking into the footsteps of our Ulemah As-Sunnah..
Pls take this as my sincere advic to all those who are concerend about the Salaf Manhaj...

So, O Shaikh what is your comment on this statement?
The Sheikh may Allah preserve him answered as follows:
الحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله وعلى آله وأصحابه ومن والاه!
As for what follows:
This statement (that preceded above from Yahya Silmy), we regard it to be a Fadeehah (disgrace and exposition) for Yahya Silmy and through his publishing of it Allah subhanahu wata’ala has exposed his evilness.
Allah subhanahu wata’ala had bestowed us with a visit to Sri Lanka in the month of Shawwal of the past year 1431H; wherein we met with our brothers there. He ta’ala also bestowed upon us with the teachings (knowledge) that we taught and the comprehension that we made to understand with the assistance of our brothers who were translating, especially the assistance of our Brother Nawwas al-Hindi may Allah preserve him and our Brother Milhan and the assistance of other than them from those who accompanied us, attended our gatherings and participated.
We stated that this advice is a Fadeehah (disgrace and exposition) for several reasons:
Indeed this statement from him is in contrary to what is deemed to be from co-operating with righteousness (al-Birr) and piety (at-Taqwa) since he is warning against seeking knowledge in the largest Jami’ah Salafiyyah (salafi university – i.e. place of salafi education) in the world and this is considered to be preventing the people from the path of Allah 'azza wajal which is from the major sins, He says ta'ala:
(#qè%rä‹s?ur uäþq¡9$# $yJÎ/ óO›?Šy‰|¹ `tã È@‹Î6y™ «!$# ( ö/ä3s9ur ë>#x‹tã ÒOŠÏàtã ÇÒÍÈ
"and You may have to taste the evil (punishment In This world) of having hindered (men) from the Path of Allâh (i.e. belief In the Oneness of Allâh and his Messenger, Muhammad ), and yours will be a great torment (i.e. the Fire of Hell In the Hereafter)."
This statement of his is in contrary to the call towards holding onto the rope of Allah which is al-Qur'an and the Sunnah.
Such that we did not see any assistance from this individual as he claims, to co-operate with the callers to Allah the Great and Almighty, especially when he saw our arrival from Dammaj; but rather he had shown eagerness in trying to prevent our visit with various frail excuses and this is a sign of sickness and an abstinence in teaching the people the good.
Thereafter we say to Yahya Silmy: instead of warning against Dammaj to first realize your own limits, may Allah guide you, and know that you are in need of being recommended and not to recommend and you ought to be known of and not for anyone to be made known by you. So the utmost of what is in him (Silmy) is that he studied in the land of the two Harams (Saudi Arabia) and then sought eagerly to obtain certain recommendations (tazkiyyah), which we have seen, and the purpose of these recommendations was for it to be known that he is in need of money for the construction of mosques (masjids), schools (madrasas) and institutes. For all of this from what we saw and heard, we neither found for it a basis nor a foundation.
As for what I saw in Colombo was a masjid of theirs entitled Jam’iyyath as-Salaf as-Saylani and this by itself is sufficient blame that the Salafi affiliates with groups and organizations (Jam’iyyahs) along with the reason of differing between us and those who contradict us, is our warning against their contradictions to the Sharee’ah. So whenever they are warned from falsehood, they say that you people are splitting the unity and doing this and that; but rather what we did was to condemn the reprehensible evil acts.
That which is obligatory upon you O Silmy, those influenced by you and those who move along your trail, is to repent to Allah the Great and Almighty from these reprehensible evil acts. The groups and organizations (Jam’iyyahs) are a cancer for the callers to Allah, the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wasallam called to the Qur’an and the Sunnah and so did his companions radiyallahu anhum and his caliphs and the scholars followed upon that without any groups or organizations (Jam’iyyahs).
The Prophet sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam said:
«الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ، كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ»
"The one who pretends that he has been given what he has not been given is just like the (false) one who wears two garments of falsehood"
Whereby he (Silmy) gives the impression that his said praise of Shaikh Yahya may Allah preserve him, and his defamation would have an impact. O my brother, from the goodness of your Islam is that you leave that which does not concern you given that you are ignorant of what is known to be from the essentials of the Deen let alone other than that from the religious affairs.
So we have learnt that you are not pleased with the Da’wah of Shaikh Muqbil rahimahullah let alone being pleased with Shaikh Yahya’s Da’wah. From what proves that is your claim, from what we heard, that Shaikh Muqbil rahimahullah declares many ahadeeth from the two Sahihs (Bukhari and Muslim) to be weak. This is a lie, scandal and vain speech and we fear that this is an indication of shubhath (ambiguity in the Deen) that fell upon you from some of those whom you sit with.
But rather Shaikh Muqbil rahimahullah was annoyed and antagonized from the side of the Shee’ah resulting from his defence of the two Sahihs and further verified (Tahqeeq) of the book al-Ilzamaath and the book Tatabbu’ of Daaraqutni and defended many of the ahadith which Daraqutni made I’laal (weak); however Silmy being ignorant began talking about that which he does not possess knowledge of and raving on something that he is not aware of. For indeed Shaikh Muqbil used to say: “When I intended to make verification (Tahqeeq) of the Ilzamaath and Tatabbu’ they claimed that I’m doing this since I was brought up in a land of Zaidi thought” to other than that from what he used to mention along with the fact that the Shaikh defended the two Sahihs.
So let it be known that you and those who are with you show allegiance and enmity because of fiqh issues and the difference in that is palatable between Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jama’ah and you do not want (to accept) other than what is predominant with you and we fear that this finalization (of fiqh issues) is a result of desire or shubhah (ambiguity in Deen). Whereas, the scholars continue to differ (in similar fiqh issues) but they neither show allegiance nor enmity as a result of these palatable issues which is a differing in understandings (Ikhthilaf afhaam).
وخلاف أهل العلم ليس بضائر ***** ما بين غالبهم من المغلوب
"and the differing of the people of knowledge is no harmer…
between the over-comer of them and the one who is overcome"
Further when we went to that country (Sri Lanka) we did not see much influence of Silmy and this proves the weakness of his knowledge and his slackness in this respect; if not for this, should there be someone in that country who encourages the people towards al-Qur’an and the Sunnah perhaps they answered to him and much good would have resulted.
Since you have become to speak of this affair we say to you with the praise to Allah and then to Shaikh Yahya and his thriving institute and Allah the Great and Almighty has directed the hearts of the people towards it, regardless of whether or not you rebuke it and whether or not you praise it. And we always mention the statement of the poet which mentions:
وإذا أراد الله نشر فضيلة ***** طويت أتاح لها لسان حسود
“If Allah wants to spread a concealed virtue…
He facilitates the tongue of an envious person (for it to be spread)”.
So who are you and what are you such that you try to reach with your short hand and crooked leg the stars of the heavens and what are you other than a deceiver from the deceivers such that you direct and refer to the speech of the one who has been refuted with clear and manifest evidences; for example Ubaid al-Jaabiree has turned into a fanatic hizbi and all those who defend al-‘Adani for verily it is out of falsehood, desire and shubhah (ambiguity in Deen) wala hawla wala quwwata illa billah.
You have also started to collect from the likes of Shakir al-Canadi who is from the betrayers of the Da’wah and from the deniers of favours and goodness that they received; no wonder (the saying):
ومن جعل الغراب له دليلا ***** يمر به على جيف الكلاب
“the one who takes the crow as a guide for him...
then it will pass by the carcasses of dogs along with him”
Your situation of having taken Shakir al-Canadi as your evidence has made you fall face down for indeed the man is attributed to the Hizb-ul-‘Adani; and all who are just, know what they are upon from the lies, deception and plots such that he lies and he is dictated and perhaps this is from his non-Arabic expression, one such example of his lies is his (Shakir’s) statement:
"At the same time, the scholars of Yemen gathered with Shaikh Abdur-Rahman on several occasions. This would often infuriate the followers of Shaikh Yahya. When Shaikh Al-Wasaabi, Shaikh Al-Imaam, Shaikh Al-Bora’ee, Shaikh Al-Dhamari met with Shaikh Abdur-Rahman in Jeddah (Saudi), one of the students of Dammaaj named Abdul-Hamid Al-Hajoori, said about these scholars: (they are shayateen)".
Whereas I (Abdul Hameed) did not say that the Masha’ikh - may Allah guide them - are shayatheen; for my exact words, refer to the recorded lecture from the night of 15th Dhul Hijjah 1431H which was in the Masjid Ibrahim in the city of Say’oon
As for your taking as evidence some of the scholars; whatever was from Ubaid al-Jaabiree has already been clarified and explained that he is dictated by the hizb of al-‘Adani and he started to speak about that which he has no knowledge rather towards the later stages even started to speak with distinct lies as clarified by our Shaikh Yahya in الإِيضَاح لِماَ عِنْدَ عُبَيْدٍ الجْاَبِرِيِّ مِنَ الجْاَهِلِيَّةِ وَالْكَذِبِ الصُّرَاح ! (Titled: Clarification of what is with Ubaid al-Jaabiree from ignorance and distinct lies). He also began to warn against this Dar as-Salafiyyah regardless of what is found in it from goodness and this was a Fadeehah (disgrace and exposition) of him.
Likewise we heard from them warnings against Shaikh Muqbil whether from Muhammad Ibn Haadee or Abdullah al-Bukhari; so their speech is not to be inflated. Therefore go easy on yourself and be merciful towards yourself and do not cheat the Muslims since cheating is Haram,
«مَنْ غَشَّنَا فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا»
“he who cheats us is not from us”
this is what the Prophet sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam said.
Verily if the cheating was to be in grains or tomatoes or potatoes it would lead to this threat, so what of cheating in the Da’wah and preventing from the path of Allah and none would be convinced by your speech save the one who is not aware of the reality of the affair. I call on our noble brother Nawwas al-Hindi to look into and examine that which you are upon in terms of weakness in knowledge and deception and thereafter to clarify and manifest it as a repulsion of falsehood and aiding the truth.
We say to you and other than you from those who praise them from your masha’ik to go easy on yourselves for verily the truth is aided and the falsehood is defeated.
سترى إذا انجلى الغبار ****** أفرس تحتك أم حمار
"So you will see when the dust settles…
whether it is a horse or a donkey beneath you"
So O you, now treading on the footsteps of the past old hizbees those who opposed the manhaj of salaf, we did not see any support from you; and should this opposition have occurred lately as he (Silmy) claims then where was the co-operation when I went to that country and also when my brother Nawwas was in that country? Where was the co-operation with him in spreading the manhaj of the salaf and upon goodness (al-Birr) and piety (at-Taqwa) and upon advice and upon enjoining the good and forbidding the evil, but rather it was none other than the worldly life (dunya).
When the manhaj of the salaf emerged holding its head high with the favour of Allah the Great and Almighty and then with the striving of those who establish it from this blessed Dar and other than it, you started to oppose and claim that Shaikh Yahya and those with him inculcate enmity and misguidance. By Allah they inculcate the Sunnah and the evidence of it is that they do not speak of anyone except if it was found in such a person contradictions to the sharee’ah that require clarification as a sincere advice to the truth and its people; even after being adviced and clarified if he refuses to respond.
It is from the amazing affairs that we heard this day that Ashraf 'Ali, the Imam of the Masjid Jam'iyyath as-Salaf as-Saylani, has delivered a khutbah claiming that Shaikh Yahya and those who are with him to be Haddaadi. Go easy on yourself as you are not even capable of answering some of the issues of 'Aqeedah that the small children are capable of and this is something that we realized when we taught you the basics of 'aqeedah, but you are talking of that which you do not know and saying that which you do not realize and your situation is that of a parrot which repeats what it hears.
We call upon all those who claim that Shaikh Yahya is a Haddadi or in his institute (Dar-ul-Hadith of Dammaj) Haddadiyyah, to bring forth evidences; as for such claims if there were no evidences provided for it then its people are none other than mere claimers. You might say that so and so is a thief or a killer or swindler but where is the proof for this speech for verily the Prophet sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam said:
«لَوْ يُعْطَى النَّاسُ بِدَعْوَاهُمْ، لَادَّعَى نَاسٌ دِمَاءَ رِجَالٍ وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ، وَلَكِنَّ الْيَمِينَ عَلَى الْمُدَّعَى عَلَيْهِ»
"If the people were given what they asked for when they brought a case, some would claim the lives and properties of others but the oath must be taken by the defendant".
Likewise the proof lies on the plaintiff.

Say (O Muhammad Sal-Allaahu 'alayhe Wa Sallam ), "Produce Your proof if You are truthful."
As our books, tapes and website are spread throughout the world, so bring to us (from these books, recordings, etc) that which aids these falsehoods which you say (concerning us) and you inform each other,

"inspiring one another with adorned speech as a delusion (or by Way of deception)."
such that we could repent to Allah the Great and Almighty from the thought of al-Haddadiyyah or from other than that knowing that the institute (Darul Hadith, Dammaj) with the praise of Allah the Great and Almighty is one that fights the thought of al-Haddadiyyah, the thought of extremism (al-Ghuloo), the thought of carelessness (at-Tamayyu'), apparent and hidden innovations, and also fights the people of falsehood from the sinners and the Mumayyi'een and that too with gentleness, moderateness, Da'wah, guidance and direction; however as for the one who persists on his falsehood, the stick will be peeled for him (i.e.: he will be disciplined).
We do not claim for ourselves infallibility (al-'Ismah) for indeed we are humans and we do correct and err and we know and know not; however it is sufficient for us that when we get to know the truth and the proof we follow it and we do not make mistakes intentionally and when we become aware of our mistakes we leave it and return (to the truth).
As for you, you started defending the people of falsehood neither due to your love for them for verily we know that many of the people from the East, West, Hijaz, Najd, Egypt, Algeria, Indonesia and other than those places do not defend Abdurrahman al-‘Adani because of their view of him being upon the truth nor do they believe that; but rather defend him as a result of their involvement in sins and contradictions (to the Sharee’ah) and they think that they are well covered by their defending of Abdurrahman al-‘Adani by stabbing the institute (Dar-ul-Hadith, Dammaj) and its Shaikh and this Alhamdulillah will not harm (them).
I advice the Salafi brothers in the land of Sri Lanka that they engage themselves with that which would benefit them from the likes of seeking knowledge, teaching and Da’wah and that they leave Yahya Silmy and the likes of them until they repent to Allah the Great and Almighty from that which they are criticized upon. You would see, insha Allah, in due course from the writing of our Brother Nawwas al-Hindi that Silmy, as it is said, neither knowledge (he possesses) nor forbearance (al-Hilm); but rather he is as it is said:
(Shaykh Abdul Hameed then quoted an adage which roughly means:)
“He (Silmy) has ripened pre-maturely and left the nest before his feathers grew in full!”
We say to our noble brothers, be warned of those betrayers and robbers.
يا ابن الكرام ألا تدنو فتبصر ****** ما قد حدثوك فما راء كمن سمعا
"O the son of the noble won’t you get close so that you see…
what they have narrated to you for the one who sees is none like the one who hears".
And beware of all those who propagate falsehood about the upright and the callers to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Messenger sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam and (beware of) the great warning that is mentioned in the hadith of the Prophet sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam:
(( وَمَنْ قَالَ فِي مُؤْمِنٍ مَا لَيْسَ فِيهِ أَسْكَنَه الله رَدْغَةَ الخبال حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ مِمَّا قَالَ))
The meaning of which is:
“Whosoever says about a Believer that which is not found in him Allah will make him reside in Radghathal Khabaal (a place in Hellfire) until he withdraws what he said.”
Note: We warn all brothers from being deceived by that which originates from Salafi Publications in Birmingham for it is Khalafiyyah (methodology opposing Salafiyyah) standing upon many contradictions to the Sharee’ah and it was this action (of theirs) which made them to turn away from the Sunnah.
والحمد لله رب العالمين!
(I ask Allah subhanahu wata’ala to benefit the Muslims by this translation and reward me and those who co-operated in translating – Nawwas ibn Muhammad al-Hindi as-Saylani. Translated on Tuesday the twenty first day of Dhul Qa’dah in the year 1432 Hijri in Dar-al-Hadith, Dammaj).
 This attachment is based upon lies, deception and distortion of Shakir al-Canadi and his two companions under the title of "The Statements of the Scholars on Shaikh Yahya al-Hajoorie and his followers and their fitnah" which Yahya Silmy has relied upon in warning against Dammaj. May Allah handle them in a manner that they deserve! - Nawwas
 All of this was before one year in the year 1431H during which time Yahya Silmy used to praise Shaikh Yahya and refer to him as an Imam - Nawwas
 Propagated by him as "All Ceylon Salaf Council" - Nawwas

 This is a quote of Shakir al-Canadi and his two companions from their awful treatise titled: (See footnote 8) for which he had not stated any reference – Nawwas.
 I have a treatise titled: دار الحديث بدماج التي يحذر منها عبيد الجابري – Dar-ul-Hadith of Dammaj against which warns Ubaid al-Jaabiree which is published in my website.
 Sahih Muslim (101) from Abu Hurairah radiyallah anhu.
 Agreed upon by Bukhari (4552) and Muslim (1711) from the Hadith of Ibn 'Abbas radiyallahu anahu.
